Sprint has just released a clever and funny promotional video in which they show an Overdrive 4G hotspot. This device can connect your iPhone to the Sprint 4G network so you could surf on internet up to 10 times faster.

Sprint’s ad mocks AT&T’s issues, specially the slow speed on its 3G network. The video shows a “cool “guy that helps his friend to have 4G connectivity. How? With a Sprint Overdrive! Would you buy another device for making you iPhone as fast as Flash?

How does Viper SmartStart App work? First, you must have a Viper remote system installed on your car, and then you can download the free iPhone app. After you have configured your car, you could start it, turn on the heat and lock or unlock it.

However, what is the advantage of the Viper SmartStart app over the traditional key-remotes? The range is much larger than what you get with Key-remotes. Actually, Directed Electronics says that the range is “virtually unlimited”.

Tweet Reel is the most interesting app to post videos to twitter from the iPhone 3GS.

This application, launched on July 7th, lets you shoot videos or grab them from your library. Besides, it is possible to add Twitter text to your video. As soon as it is posted to your TweetReel site, it is shared with Twitter.

George Hotz has released a jailbreaking application, Purplera1n, for the iPhone 3G S.  This application is   available for not only Windows and  but also for Mac., and requires an iPhone 3G S with the 3.0 firmware  and the latest iTunes installed.

What does jailbreaking mean? According to Wikipedia, “Jailbreaking is a process that allows iPhone and iPod Touch users to run unofficial code on their devices bypassing Apple's official distribution mechanism, the App Store. Once jailbroken, iPhone users are able to download many applications previously unavailable through the App Store via unofficial installers such as Cydia and Icy.”

What can you do with an Iphone 3G S jailbroken?  You could play Nintendo Entertainment System games and other emulated classic games , unlock your iPhone installing a simple program, so that you could use a pre-paid card if you go abroad (no more roaming charges),and so on.
